Many positive changes occurred at the Fall meeting yesterday. I like to congratulate Dayton Colie as he takes on the role as Webmaster and Skylar Murray as she will be the Regional Director (Upper & Lower).
Regrettably, Lakelands, Mid-Carolina, and His and Hers Archery did not renew their membership. We wish them the best of luck.
We have added known distance classes and reworked some of our other classes. These classes will be used for Club and Regional tournaments. Any NFAA sanctioned shoot (State tournaments) will still recognize the NFAA classes.
The Regional has been changed where each club will host 2 tournaments that counts toward the regional competition. The attached posters show the new classes and schedule. The upper state clubs will have their regional dates soon. A few clubs have requested to hold an ASA qualifier. Once those dates have been approved by the ASA we will announce them. Please check back to the schedule as details for certain events are being finalized.
Also, we are still in need of someone for the Secretary/Treasurer position. If you are interested in helping the association with providing archery opportunities and feel that you can complete this role, let us know.
We are looking forward to 2015 and know that these changes will have a positive impact on archery in the state!

Has anybody asked why they dropped out it may be something that SCAA needs to improve on to keep this from continuing to happen? Might be something as simple as attitude adjustment.

Every club has equal opportunity to express their opinion as well as suggest changes to the SCAA. When they join, they are the SCAA! There are many reasons why a club may or may not want to belong to the SCAA. That does not mean something is wrong. The SCAA is a cooperation agreement between clubs. We don't always make the best/right changes but at least the member clubs are trying. The SCAA will never please everyone. JMO
