A while back I sent an email requesting your help in how I vote on the possible changes for the up coming NFAA Directors meeting in April. As of now I've only received 4 reply's. , and I thank you for that. But what about the rest of those NFAA members. I hear archers at events asking why this or that was don't and how stupid it was. Well here's your chance to have your voice heard. Let me know what you think about each addenda item.
The complete list is under the news section, it wouldn't fit in this format.
If I get no feed back from the State Members, I'll vote the best I can and in the support of the NFAA and the SCAA.
So let me know what you think about archery with in the NFAA and I'll do my best to get you the answer.
Thank you for your help and support. Steven

We reviewed over the suggested changes. If any of these are approved, then when would they go into effect? For instance, page 21 of 44 refers to only allowing Bowhunter and Bowhunter Freestyle classes to use arrows with screw in tips. We are just curious because my husband and I were going to buy machined arrows, but we do not want to spend the money if the rule changes go into effect this year.

The rule changes would not take effect until next year if approved and the SCAA would have to choose to adopt them at the state level. Also I agree that rule should not be passed. JMO

I plan on not voting for this rule, and if it does pass its will only apply to NFAA hosted shoots, so with that in mind if approved by the HQ of the NFAA the state would also have no choice but to except the new change.
This goes back to the intent of the rule or the written rule theory or train of thought. How maybe in the bow hunter class are using 1 pin, now it that really a bow hunter style?
I do not think this rule will change, but if it passes, I will ask for bow hunter to be rewritten to you will have 5 fixed pins, and any rear mover sight will be in free style, HHA others and others just like them.
We have gone to long of reading between the lines of the rules, we spend so much time trying to figure out have to been the rule, instead of just complying with the rule. So much of your time is wasted.
Just a thought or two from a man who loves the sport of archery. Steven

The state does have a choice. There have been many times when we did not adopt a NFAA rule. The speed for example, we chose to leave it at 280 fps for several years after it was changed by the NFAA, and only changed it then because the ASA change theirs also. We even have classes that the NFAA does not recognize. Now if someone were hosting a NFAA sectional shoot they would have to use the NFAA rules. Just sayin.
